National Training on TB/HIV for Healthcare Workers

This training course provides basic information on clinical management of Tuberculosis and HIV intended to train healthcare workers in Tanzania in order to improve patient care. The course is designed to take 6 days, which includes 5.5 days of highly interactive classroom training, as well as a half-day practicum during which participants visit a TB clinic. The table below provides the 23 units covering TB and HIV transmission, diagnosis, and treatment; TB/HIV interaction and the management of TB/HIV co-infected patients; collaborative TB/HIV activities, and more. Each unit includes a facilitator guide, a text-based participant manual, a course workbook, and a slide set.
