03/2008 DescriptionThe objective of this 5-day training is to provide basic information on HIV, AIDS, and antiretroviral therapy to nurses in India so that they can care for and treat their patients who are HIV-infected. This couse has been designed for hospital and ART center nurses working in the Indian context. This is a facilitator-led training consisting of 13 units focusing on HIV prevention, treatment, care and support, with an emphasis on the role of the nurse in each of these areas. Participants will learn through interractive methods such as case studies, role plays, group discussions, videos, and clinical site visits. A Facilitator's Guide, Participant Manual and 14 PowerPoint slide sets are included in this training package.
